Final call of the season

LOST: After cutting a line from a sailboat in Bellingham Bay, Capt. Fritz and I towed this 26' boat to Anacortes.

They had reported themselves 1500 feet from Anacortes. They were five miles away.

We made the final two runs in "Salvation."

My Friday Harbor master's course begins tonight.

Congrats on wrapping up another successful (and safe) season. Looking forward to the annual "map" of calls...you will have it, won't you?

Does your whole fleet shut down until spring? What happens if a VA member needs assistance?

Anon,

We're still here and ready to go. It's just that the number of calls slows considerably.

Sept sees a number of retirees cruising, but the large amount of traffic has gone home.

Remedy actually saw a few more calls than last summer's record.

I'll take a back up role to Capt. Fritz as I move into teaching mode with my Master's Courses.

Richard - Welcome to the "end of season" and "CONTRATS" -?- on what I hope was a good one for you!!
I won't really know how my numbers will compare to past years for awhile, but I think we came through o.k.
It has been great fun sparring with you and a few of your followers - I have greatly enjoyed the "cyber" friendship - - stay safe and have a good winter. - I'll still be monitoring - - ;^) Charlie
