Boating 101



For our non boating friends, both of these vessels are at fault. The dive boat actually has the right of way. However, as soon as the dive boat realizes the yacht (with camera rolling) is not giving way, the dive boat has a responsibility to avoid the collision.

Unlike a car accident, they will both share in the responsibility of the collision.

OMG, it's like both vessels were on auotopilot or something! Neither vessel appeared to make any change in course or speed. Also, notice the guy on the bow of the other vessel -- he looked like he would've been completely squashed, yet he walked away from it. I'd love to know the rest of the story -- how many injuries, etc. . .

I have to give credit to Delmer Hatton for sending me this video to pass on.
This collision just prove that having lots of money doesn't necessarily mean you have lots of intelligence.
